About The Nanny Edit

At the center of it all?

Our founder, Kady Kearns, a woman with over 20 years in the industry and nearly a decade of agency leadership under her belt.

She launched Pacific Elite Nannies back in 2016 and quickly became one of the most trusted names in Southern California and beyond. Now, with The Nanny Edit, she is taking everything she has learned and reimagining the modern nanny agency: blending high-touch service with curated, nationwide reach.

We bring warmth, integrity, and purpose to every placement and whether you are a parent looking for your unicorn nanny or a career caregiver ready for your next great family, we are here to make the magic happen.

This is The Nanny Edit. It’s our next chapter and it just might be yours too.

Our Mission

Our Commitment to Our Families

To raise the standard of childcare through curated matches, concierge-level service, and deep respect for both families and caregivers.

We are rewriting the way agencies advocate for caregivers while making the process effortless for busy parents.

The Edit Code: Our Core Values

At The Nanny Edit, every placement is more than a match. It’s a masterpiece in the making. Our Edit Code is a set of 5 core values that guide how we show up, what we stand for, and how we elevate every family and caregiver we serve.

These aren’t just words. They’re the intentional edits we make every day to lead with heart, act with integrity, and curate excellence in everything we do.

Humanity

We lead with heart and always see the person behind the placement.

Advocacy

We champion and uplift caregivers as essential professionals.

Integrity

We do what’s right — transparently, ethically, and always.

Empathy

We listen deeply, act compassionately, and treat all with respect.

Intentional Excellence

Every match is curated with purpose, care, and high standards — because excellence should always be intentional.

We don't place nannies.
We create partnerships.

Founder & Director

Kady Kearns

Hi, I’m Kady! I have been in the nanny industry for over two decades; as a caregiver, an agency owner, and now, as the founder of The Nanny Edit.

I was born and raised in Sacramento, California and grew up in a very large family with over 100 foster siblings. From a young age, I witnessed the impact of intentional caregiving, especially with children navigating special needs, trauma, and unique developmental challenges. It shaped everything about who I am. I spent years as a professional nanny in Chicago, Texas, and California and even worked abroad as an au pair in Australia and an English teacher in Thailand and Malaysia.

I have seen first hand how different cultures approach parenting and care, and I have blended those lessons into the foundation of The Nanny Edit. In 2016, I launched Pacific Elite Nannies, a boutique agency serving Southern California. Over the years, we became known for high-touch placements, long-term relationships, and exceptional service. But as more families across the country reached out, I realized we were ready for something bigger. Something national.

The Nanny Edit is our next chapter: a modern, nationwide agency that reflects our values, our heart, and our belief that care should always be curated.

I am a proud wife to a South African husband and a mama to a NICU warrior, born in 2024. My daughter inspires me every day to advocate for families, celebrate caregivers, and keep raising the bar.

Director of Recruitment

Jessica Crothers

With more than twenty years in the nanny industry, Jess has done it all — from au pair to live-out nanny, high-profile nanny, and house manager. Her hands-on experience gives her a deep understanding of what families and caregivers truly need. She has been connecting nannies and families since 2013, and recruiting quickly became one of her greatest passions. She has developed a true love for helping families find the perfect nanny, and it brings her so much joy to be part of that match-making process. Connecting loving, dedicated caregivers with families who need them most is what motivates her every day. She genuinely cares about every placement and takes pride in being a trusted support system from start to finish. In 2023, she launched her own consulting company to mentor and guide nannies, expanding her mission to uplift the industry as a whole. Jess also loves being part of The Nanny Edit because the agency shares her heart-first approach, strong communication values, and deep commitment to both nannies and families. Being on a team that truly cares makes her work even more fulfilling. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, making music, trying new restaurants with her food-critic husband, spending time with her stepchildren, and loving on their rescue corgi mix.

Brand Designer & Social Media Manager

Regina Nasecia

I’m Regina Nasecia. I pursued my studies and earned a double degree in International Business and Marketing. After graduating, I worked as an operations analyst in a multinational company, then continued my career as a marketing manager at a B2B company.

Along the way, I rediscovered a long-lost passion for design. While I once dreamed of becoming a fashion designer, I never pursued it. Instead, life opened up a different and more fulfilling path; blending design with business strategy. Today, I focus on creating thoughtful, people-centered design work, especially in areas that support families, children, and caregiving.

Working with The Nanny Edit has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. I love being part of a brand that leads with heart, purpose, and integrity. It allows me to use my creativity and strategic skills to make a real difference in people’s lives and that’s something I’m truly proud of.
